SOLAR PANEL DNO APPROVAL

District Network Operator (DNO) pre-approval is required when - 

• A new domestic solar panel system is more the 4.0 kWp or you are adding more panels to an existing system or the output of your inverter is greater than 16 Amps.  Pre approval is required from the DNO. 
• Commercial systems over 16 Amps per phase require approval prior to installation & connection.

In the event that the DNO declines your application to connect, it could be necessary to install an export power management systems to limit the electricity from the PV system flowing to the grid.
