4.0 kWp Solar PV system on a house


The information below is to assist you understand how many kWh a new 4.0 kWp solar PV system would generate per year.

The system is based on the following factors :- 

12 x 325 Wp solar PV panels mono all black

1 x 3.6 kWp single or duel string inverter 

4.0 mm solar cable

A 4.0 kWp system would typically be installed on a domestic houses.

Lets look at the costs and savings a 4.0 kWp solar PV system can provide today:

Your present electricity supplier could be charging you 16 to 20 pence per kWh.

Assuming a 3.9 kWp solar system installed today produces 3,500 kWh per year (allowing for some degradation) you could generate a huge 87,500 kWh over a 25 year period (which is the time the panels are warranted to last).
